Tattoo Aftercare

Remove bandage after 2 - 4 hours and wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap and cool water.

For the first 1 - 2 days put a paper thin layer of A&D or triple antibiotic ointment on your tattoo 4 - 5 times daily.

After the first 1 - 2 days discontinue the A&D or triple antibiotic ointment and switch to a regular unscented hand lotion (Lubriderm, Curel, etc.) or a product designed specifily for tattoo healing (H2Ocean, Tattoo Goo, etc.)

Always before applying lotion wash your hands with antibacterial soap and warm water.

Do not soak, in bath tub, lake water, or pool water while healing your tattoo. Prolonged soaking in water may cause your tattoo to scab excessivly and pull in from the skin. When showering do not let water hit your tattoo directly. This could cause scabs to be "ripped" off your new tattoo which could also cause splotchiness in your healed tattoo.
